Current delegation

Wisconsin was admitted to theUnion on May 29, 1848. Its currentU.S. senators are RepublicanRon Johnson (since 2011) and DemocratTammy Baldwin (since 2013), making it one of three states to have a split United States Senate delegation as of 2025[update].[1]William Proxmire was the state's longest serving senator (served 1957–1989).
