The Republic ofMoldova–Romania border is the international border betweenRepublic of Moldova andRomania, established after thedissolution of the Soviet Union. It is a fluvial boundary, following the course of thePrut andDanube. The boundary is 681.3 kilometres (423.3 miles)[1] long, including 570 metres (1,870 ft) along the Danube.
It is part of the external border of theEuropean Union that runs fromCriva (48°15′50″N26°37′30″E / 48.26389°N 26.62500°E /48.26389; 26.62500) in the north-west toGiurgiulești (45°28′00″N28°12′50″E / 45.46667°N 28.21389°E /45.46667; 28.21389) in the south-east.
