Marvel Cinematic Universe film actors
Hemsworth, Johansson, Pratt, Rudd, Lilly, Cumberbatch, Holland, Larson, Wright, Mackie, and Stan return from the Infinity Saga to headline their own films in the Multiverse Saga. New headliners introduced for the Multiverse Saga include Liu and Chan with Phase Four, Vellani, Parris, Reynolds, Jackman, and Pugh with Phase Five, and Pascal with Phase Six. Downey will star as Doctor Doom inDoomsday andSecret Wars. Cheadle and Ali are set to headline their own films.

TheMarvel Cinematic Universe is amedia franchise andshared universe that is the setting ofsuperhero films produced byMarvel Studios, based on characters that appear inMarvel Comics publications. PhasesOne,Two, andThree, were known as "The Infinity Saga", featuring many franchises and their sequels, and the first fourAvengerscrossover films.[1][2]Phase Four features four sequels to earlier films and three new film properties,[3] withPhase Five set to include four sequels and two new properties,[4] andPhase Six intended to feature three sequels and one new property, including the crossover filmsAvengers: Doomsday (2026) andAvengers: Secret Wars (2027).[5][6] Phases Four, Five, and Six comprise "The Multiverse Saga".[6]

The Infinity Saga

Phase One of the franchise includes six films, featuring four different superhero properties, leading up to acrossover in the 2012 filmMarvel's The Avengers. The franchise'sPhase Two features three sequels to Phase One films, as well as two new film properties, and the crossoverAvengers: Age of Ultron, which released in 2015.Phase Three features four sequels to earlier films, and four new film properties, as well as the crossover filmsAvengers: Infinity War (2018) andAvengers: Endgame (2019).[7] The films from Phase One through Phase Three are collectively known as "The Infinity Saga".[1][2]
