Indian vice presidential polls

Thevice president of India is elected indirectly, by anelectoral college consisting ofmembers (elected as well as nominated) of bothHouses of Parliament, by the system ofproportional representation usingsingle transferable votes and the voting is bysecret ballot. The election of the vice president is slightly different from theelection of the president as the members ofstate legislatures are not part of the electoral college but the nominated members ofRajya Sabha are part of it.[1][2][3][4]
