Lisa Katharina Hill (born 16 July 1992) is a Germanartistic gymnast. She competed at fourWorld Championships (2010, 2011, 2014, 2015) and was Germany's alternate for the2012 Summer Olympics. She won a bronze medal on the uneven bars at the2013 Summer Universiade in addition to winning bronze with the team.

Gymnastics career

Hill competed at the2006 Junior European Championships alongsideMarie-Sophie Hindermann,Anja Brinker,Joeline Möbius, andDorothee Henzler, and they won the bronze medal in the team competition behind Russia and Romania.[1]

Hill was a member of the German team that finished eleventh at the2010 World Championships,[2] and she helped the team finish sixth at the2011 World Championships.[3] After the 2011 World Championships, she won a silver medal on the floor exercise and a bronze medal on the balance beam at the Toyota Cup in Japan.[4]

Hill won a bronze medal on the uneven bars at the2012 Doha World Cup behindBeth Tweddle andJiang Yuyuan.[5] She then placed sixth in theEuropean Championships uneven bars final.[6] She was the alternate for the German team that finished ninth at the2012 Summer Olympics.[7]

Hill qualified for the all-around final at the2013 European Championships and finished 14th.[8] She then won a silver medal on the uneven bars at theAnadia World Challenge Cup behind Russia'sAnastasia Grishina.[9] At the2013 Summer Universiade, she won a bronze medal with her team and on the uneven bars.[10][11] She could not compete at the2013 World Championships due to a foot injury while training aYurchenko double twist vault.[12]

Hill competed at the2014 Gym Festival Trnava in Slovakia and won the silver medal in the all-around behindAnna Pavlova. Additionally, she won the gold medal on the uneven bars by nearly a full point and placed fifth on the balance beam and floor exercise.[13] At the2014 World Championships, she helped the German team finish ninth.[14] She was the only member of the German team to qualify for the all-around final,[15] where she finished 22nd.[16] She also finished seventh in the uneven bars final after brushing her feet on the ground during aPak salto.[17][18] After the World Championships, she competed at the2014 Stuttgart World Cup and placed eighth in the all-around.[19]

Hill missed the beginning of the 2015 season, including theEuropean Championships, due to ameniscus injury.[20] She competed at the2015 World Championships with the German team that finished 12th in the qualification round.[21] She won a gold medal on the uneven bars at the 2018 Salamunov Memorial inMaribor, Slovenia.[22] She competed on the uneven bars and the balance beam at the2019 Doha World Cup but did not advance beyond the qualification round.[23]

As of 2023, Hill continues to compete in the domestic Bundesliga league, but she has not appeared in international competition since 2019.[24]
