Linda Lee Kelly (born May 20, 1949) is an American attorney who served as theattorney general of Pennsylvania from 2011 to 2013.
Kelly is a graduate ofElizabeth Forward High School, theUniversity of Pittsburgh and theDuquesne University School of Law.
Kelly was an assistantdistrict attorney inAllegheny County; she also served twice as an actingU.S. Attorney, in 1997–98 and again in 2001. She was nominated byGovernorTom Corbett to be his permanent successor asAttorney General of Pennsylvania in February 2011, and was unanimously confirmed by thePennsylvania Senate on May 23, 2011.[3] Kelly was the first woman to serve as state attorney general sinceAnne Alpern left office in 1961.[4]
Kelly and her husband Paul have one daughter, Kate.[5]
