Lillium orLillion (Ancient Greek:Λίλλιον), orLileon orLileum (Λιλεόν), orLilaeus orLilaios (Λίλαιος), was a commercial town (emporium) on theBlack Sea coast ofancient Bithynia, 40stadia to the east ofDia.[1][2] It is possible that the place may have derived its name from theLilaeus, whichPliny the Elder mentions among the rivers of Bithynia.[3]
Its site is located east ofAkçakoca inAsiatic Turkey.[4][5]
