The Leyland-DAB Lion was designed as amid-engineddouble-decker bus chassis based on aDanish Automobile Building design.[1][2] Only 32 were built forClydeside Scottish,Eastern Scottish andNottingham City Transport.[3][4][5]
Following the takeover of Leyland byVolvo, the Lion ceased production in 1988.[6]
