Thelesser pygmy flying squirrel (Petaurillus emiliae) is a species ofrodent in the familySciuridae. It isendemic toBorneo where it is known from the type specimen collected in 1901 inSarawak (Malaysia) and another specimen collected in 2013 in Labanan Research Forest inEast Kalimantan (Indonesia).[1]
The lesser pygmy flying squirrel isarboreal and probably prefers forest. It is threatened by habitat conversion due to agriculture and logging. There are no conservation measures in place. Further studies are needed into the taxonomy, distribution, abundance, reproduction and ecology of this species.[1]
