Les Kershaw is the former chief scout and Academy Director forManchester United.
Kershaw studied atManchester Metropolitan University before being recruited by United managerAlex Ferguson. He had previously acted as a part-time scout forArsenal.[1]
He received an award from theRoyal Society of Chemistry in September 2005.[1]
Kershaw retired at the end of the 2005–06 season and was replaced as Director of the Academy byBrian McClair.[2] However, he continued to work for United part-time, and was credited with discoveringRafael andFabio.[3]
