Leandro Amaro dos Santos Ferreira (born June 19, 1986, inCampinas) is a Brazilianfootballdefender, who plays forCentral.
Contracted since his youth withCruzeiro Esporte Clube, Leandro Amaro had several loan spells withCabofriense,Villa Nova,Marilia,Villa Nova,Goianiense andBotafogo-SP before signing forPalmeiras in 2010.[2] After two years in the Palmeiras team he was loaned out successively toAvaí,Náutico andChapecoense in 2013 and 2014 before his contract expired.[3]
In 2015 he was contracted toABC, but agreed a mutual termination in August.[4] He played withItumbiara in early 2016, but was signed byMirassol in April of that year to strengthen their side in the quarter-final stages of theCampeonato Paulista second division.[5] At the end of that campaign he moved toGuarani for the2016 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, winning promotion.[6] He was not retained by Guarani, and signed forFerroviária for the2017 Campeonato Paulista.[7] From there he agreed a contract withOeste for the2017 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B.[8] The club finished 6th, and he renewed for the 2018 season, but after a poor start to the Série B campaign he was released and immediately re-signed for Mirassol for their2018 Copa Paulista and2019 Campeonato Paulista campaigns.[9]
He signed forBotafogo-SP, newly promoted to Série B, in April 2019.[10]
