Lauren Tsai (born February 11, 1998), is an Americanvisual artist,model, andactress.[2] She is best known to audiences for her appearance in theFuji TV andNetflix seriesTerrace House: Aloha State. She made her acting debut in the third and final season ofLegion, a television series based on theMarvel Comicscharacter of the same name.
Lauren Tsai was born on February 11, 1998, inWellesley, Massachusetts, United States.
Her family moved toHonolulu,Hawaii when she was seven years old.
After moving out of the show'sHonolulu house, she continued to pursue her modeling and artistic work. As a model, she's since appeared in a number of magazines, commercials, catalogs and fashion shows, including in Japan and Hawaii.
In 2018, she drew a variant cover for issue No. 1 ofWest Coast Avengers.[4] In 2019, she followed with a variant cover forCaptain Marvel No. 1.[5] She also collaborated withMarc Jacobs on a line of apparel and accessories.[6]
In January 2019, she was cast in the third and final season of theFX seriesLegion as Switch, a young mutant who has time travelling abilities.[7] She then starred in the 2021Netflix filmMoxie, directed byAmy Poehler.[8]
In September 2023, she directed the animated music video for theBoygenius songCool About It.[9]
Lauren has more than 1 million followers on Instagram as of December 2023.[10]
Tsai describes her sketchbook as "probably my most cherished item."[11]
