Laura Rutledge (néeMcKeeman; born October 2, 1988)[1] is an American reporter and host forESPN and theSEC Network. She is an Americanbeauty pageant titleholder fromSt. Petersburg, Florida, who was namedMiss Florida 2012.[2]

Biography

She won the title ofMiss Florida on July 7, 2012, when she received her crown from outgoing titleholderKristina Janolo. Her competition talent was ballet.[3] Rutledge is a graduate of theUniversity of Florida, having majored in broadcast journalism.[3][4] She was also a member of theZeta Tau Alpha sorority. She is currently working forESPN and is featured in multiple shows, including theSEC Network's college football pre-game show,SEC Nation, andNFL Live.

Sports journalist

Rutledge worked forFox Sports as a sideline reporter, previously covering Fox broadcasts ofTampa Bay Rays games[2] and thenSan Diego Padres games. She also provided on-field reporting for theFox College Sports coverage of the NCPA's 2012 National Paintball Championship inLakeland, Florida. She joined ESPN and the SEC Network in summer 2014.[5][6]

In 2014, Rutledge hosted the Coors Light PostGame show onFox College Football and hosted halftime programming forFSN college football games.

Rutledge also hostedChargers Insider for theSan Diego Chargers in 2013 andSD Live. She was the producer and host ofSDLive, an original show she started atFox Sports San Diego.

On May 16, 2017, she was named host ofSEC Nation on the SEC Network.[7] On August 17, 2020, she became the host of ESPN's premier NFL show,NFL Live. In August 2025, Rutledge joins theMNF team as a full time sideline reporter alongsideLisa Salters.

Personal life

She attendedCelebration High School inCelebration, Florida. She marriedJosh Rutledge, a professional baseball player, in 2013. On October 2, 2019, Rutledge gave birth to a daughter, Reese Katherine Rutledge, and revealed that she and her daughter share the same birthday.[8][9][10][11] On May 25, 2023, Rutledge gave birth to their second child and first son, Jack Alexander Rutledge.[12][13] They live in a log cabin in suburbanConnecticut that was purchased for $1.1M in 2021.
