Late Fame is an upcoming Americandrama film directed byKent Jones starringWillem Dafoe andGreta Lee.
Late Fame explores the impact of newfound fame on Ed Saxberger (Dafoe), the author of a poetry collection that received little notice upon release but gained appreciation years later among a group of artists including Gloria (Lee), an actress eager to gain his attention.
In May 2024,Variety reported thatLate Fame, starringWillem Dafoe andSandra Hüller, was expected to begin shooting inNew York City that fall with a screenplay penned bySamy Burch. The report noted thatPamela Koffler andChristine Vachon ofKiller Films had signed on as producers and that the project would seek distributors atCannes Film Festival.[1]
In October 2024,Greta Lee had replaced Hüller, who dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.[2] In January 2025, it was reportedEdmund Donovan had joined the cast, withprincipal photography beginning the week of January 22, 2025, inNew York andNew Jersey.[3]
