TheLand Ports Authority of India[a] orLPAI is a statutory body (created through the Land Ports Authority of India Act, 2010) working under theMinistry of Home Affairs,Government of India is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing border infrastructure in India.[2] It manages several Integrated Check Posts (ICPs) all acrossBorders of India.[3][4]

LPAI was setup byLand Ports Authority of India Act, 2010 ofParliament of India on 1 March 2012.[5]
