Lamar Reynolds (born 16 August 1995) is an English-born Jamaican professionalfootballer forNational League South clubEnfield Town.

Early life

Reynolds was born in Jamaica and moved to the United Kingdom when he was eight years old.

Career

Reynolds began his career withBarking, joining the club's youth academy at the age of 16.[3] He graduated into the first-team during the 2012–13 season, scoring his first goals for the club with a brace during a 6–1 victory overSporting Bengal United on 5 January 2013.[4] He later played forThurrock, scoring once in 23 league appearances,[5] andAveley before joiningGrays Athletic in 2015.[6]On 6 November 2015, Reynolds joinedHeybridge Swifts on loan,[7] making his debut the following day in a 3–1 defeat toSoham Town Rangers. He went on to play in a further seven matches in all competitions for the club.[8]

In January 2016, Reynolds returned to his first club Barking after failing to break into the first-team with Grays,[9] having featured in 12 league matches for the club.[10] Despite only playing the second half of the season, Reynolds finished as Barking's second highest top scorer with 10 goals in 15 appearances,[11] including a hat-trick during an 8–0 victory overTower Hamlets on 8 March 2016.[12] Reynolds joinedIsthmian League North Division clubBrentwood Town for the 2016–17 season, scoring 27 goals in 38 matches.[13]

In June 2017, Reynolds was one of 42 players who attended theV9 Academy, a week long training programme set up byEngland internationalJamie Vardy to showcase players fromnon-League clubs to scouts, at theEtihad Campus in Manchester.[14] After impressing scouts at the academy, Reynolds joinedLeague Two sideNewport County on a two-year deal.[6][15] He made his professional debut on the opening day of the 2017–18 season in a 3–3 draw atStevenage.[16] On 4 January 2018, Reynolds joinedLeyton Orient on loan for the remainder of the 2017–18 season.[17]

On 2 July 2018, Reynolds joinedDagenham & Redbridge on a free transfer with Newport securing a sell on clause as part of the deal.[18] On 21 March 2019,Chelmsford City signed Reynolds on loan until the end ofthe season.[19] In May 2019, it was announced that he would be released following the expiration of his contract at the end of the 2018–19 campaign.[20]

On 20 June 2019, he signed for National League South sideConcord Rangers on a free transfer following his release from Dagenham.[21]

Following an unsuccessful trial with Scottish sideLivingston,[22] Reynolds joined National League South sideBraintree Town on 25 August 2022.[23]

On 22 May 2023, Reynolds agreed to joinMaidstone United, following the club's relegation to the National League South.[24]

On 27 January 2024, Reynolds scored the opening goal for Maidstone in theirfourth round FA Cup tie againstIpswich Town and assisted Sam Corne's eventual winner; Maidstone would ultimately beat Ipswich 2-1, despite being four tiers below their opponents.

On 27 May 2024, Reynolds signed a pre-contract agreement withScottish Championship clubGreenock Morton, agreeing to a one-year deal with theTon.[25]
