Lamar Manuel-Liolevave (born 1 December 1995) is aFiji internationalrugby league footballer who plays assecond-rower orlock for theTweed Heads Seagulls in theQueensland Cup.
He previously played for theWests Tigers in theNRL.
Born inAuckland, New Zealand, Liolevave is ofMāori,Samoan andFijian descent[3] and played his junior rugby league for theMarist Saints. He later moved toQueensland, Australia to attendKeebra Park State High School. In July 2013, he signed a contract with theWest Tigers starting in 2014.[4]
In 2013, Liolevave played for theAustralian Schoolboys.[5][6]
In 2014 and 2015, Liolevave played for the Wests Tigers'NYC team.[7] He was named the Tigers' NYC Coach's Player of the Year in 2014.[8] On 18 October 2014, he played for theJunior Kiwis against theJunior Kangaroos, playing off the interchange bench in the Kiwis' 15-14 win.[9][10] Soon after, he re-signed with the Wests Tigers on a two-year contract.[11]
Liolevave graduated to the Tigers'New South Wales Cup team in 2015.[12] In round 4, he made hisNRL debut for the Wests Tigers against theCanterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.[13]
On 2 May 2015, Liolevave again played for the Junior Kiwis against Junior Kangaroos.[14]
In April 2016, Liolevave joined the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs effective immediately on a contract to the end of 2017.[15][16]
He made his international debut, coming off the bench, in the 18-44 win againstSamoa on 2 November 2019.[citation needed]
