Lakeside is a residential suburb ofCape Town,South Africa, located in the city'sSouthern Suburbs. It is situated about 22 kilometres south of theCape Town CBD. The suburb is located to the south of Westlake and to the north ofMuizenberg. Its name is derived from its close proximity to the Sandvlei wetland, which is a part of theZandvlei Estuary Nature Reserve.[3]
The Lakeside Centre, a small retail centre, is located within the suburb.[4]
