Lake Notoro (能取湖,Notoro-ko / Notori-ko), alsoLake Notori orNotoro Lagoon,[1] is acoastal lagoon by the northern shore ofAbashiri,Hokkaidō,Japan.[2] It is included inAbashiri Quasi-National Park.
It is the13th-largest lake in Japan. It is about 2 km (1.2 mi) northwest ofLake Abashiri and 15 km (9.3 mi) east ofLake Saroma (also a coastal lagoon).
To the NW ofLake Abashiri lie the Notoro Lagoon (32 km in circumference and 58 sq km in area) and theSaroma Lagoon (72 km in circumference and 149 sq km in area).
