TheLahuli–Spiti languages the exonym[1] for a subgroup of theTibetic languages related to the(Stöd) Ngari Tibetan spoken in theLahaul and Spiti region ofHimachal Pradesh,India, belonging to the South-Western group of Tibetic languages, earlier classified as Western Innovative Tibetan. They are more closely related toStandard Tibetan than to the neighboringLadakhi–Balti languages spoken further north.
