Rex Wheeler (born 9 August 1990),[1] known by the stage nameLady Camden, is a Britishdrag queen based in the United States who competed onseason 14 ofRuPaul's Drag Race, placing as the runner-up.[2]
Wheeler was born inCamden Town,London,England to Brian Wheeler and Jeanne Pacella, who met at Brian's job at theElectric Ballroom.[3] His mother has been described as supportive of Wheeler's drag career, as she has attended many of his performances and even partied alongside the cast of thefourteenth season of Drag Race after the airing of the finale.[4] Wheeler attended theAcland Burghley School and theRoyal Ballet School.[3][5]

After dancing with theSlovak National Ballet, Wheeler danced withSacramento Ballet from 2010 to 2015. He then danced and choreographed forSmuin Ballet, based in San Francisco, from 2015 to 2018.[6][5] In 2019, he premieredTake Five, a piece he choreographed for Smuin Ballet set to the music ofDave Brubeck.[7]
In 2022, Wheeler competed onseason 14 ofRuPaul's Drag Race as Lady Camden. She won episodes 7,[8] 12,[9] and 14,[10] as well as three cash prizes of$5,000. She landed in the bottom 7 on theSnatch Game episode,[11] and had to participate in alip-sync tournament, winning the second round againstBosco.[12]
In the finale, she reached the final two withWillow Pill and the two queens participated in a lip-sync battle toCher's cover version ofABBA's "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)".[2] She lost the lip-sync and finished as the runner-up, winning a cash prize of $50,000.[2]
Wheeler lives in California and is gay.[13] During theCOVID-19 pandemic, he moved to Sacramento, before returning to San Francisco.[6]
