Ladislav Brožek (born 1952) is a Slovakastronomer.[2] At the BohemianKleť Observatory, he discovered a total of 23minor planets between 1979 and 1982, as credited by theMinor Planet Center.[1]
One of his discoveries, the main-belt asteroid2613 Plzeň, he named after his birthplacePlzeň.[3] In 1981, he discovered3102 Krok, anear-Earth object of theApollo group.[4] He also named another of his discoveries,3834 Zappafrank, in memory of rock musician and composerFrank Zappa (1940–1993).[5]
