Lehar orLaalaa (in their language) is one of theCangin languages spoken inSenegal in the Laa Region (Lehar Region), north ofThies as well as theTambacounda area. The speakers (theSerer-Laalaa) are ethnicallySerers, however just like theNdut,Palor,Saafi andNoon languages, they are closely related to each other than to theSerer-Sine language. The Lehar language which is closer to Noon, is part of theNiger–Congo family. The number of speakers based on 2002 figures were 10,925.
