La Biblia en pasta (Spanish for "TheBible in pulp paper", a Spanishidiom for something hard and difficult) is a 1984Spanishcomedy film directed byManuel Summers. It is a humorous version of some episodes from theOld Testament.[1]
The film shows a humorous version of four episodes ofGenesis:Adam and Eve,Cain and Abel, theFlood and theTower of Babel, alsoAbraham appears very briefly at the end. There are many anachronisms for humorous purposes, such asNoah's Ark havingwindscreen wipers or Cain singingthe Internationale and absurd jokes such asNoah painting stripes on a white horse to hide not having azebra.
Spanish criticCarlos Aguilar in hisGuía del cine español considers this film "painful".[2]
