Lê Hy Tông (黎熙宗, 22 April 1663 – 4 June 1716) was the 21st emperor of VietnameseLater Lê dynasty.[1]


Lê Hy Tông'sbirth name isLê Duy Hiệp[2][3] (黎維祫) orLê Duy Cáp (黎維祫),[4]courtesy nameDuy Thịnh[5] (維𥘺). He was born in 1663 and reigned from 1675 to 1705 as emperor, then he was succeeded by his son as Emperor and reigned in 1705–1716 as the Retired Emperor.[6] He was the figurehead king under the power of lordTrịnh Căn who ruled in 1682–1709.[7]
His reign was said to be the prosper period in theRevival Lê dynasty.[8]
He had issue, including two sons :Lê Duy Đường andLê Duy Chúc.
