Lévy Clément Madinda (born 22 June 1992) is a Gabonese professionalfootballer who plays as amidfielder.
Born inLibreville, Madinda started playing football forStade Mandji.[2] In October 2010, after having been spotted by the club during a youth tournament inBurkina Faso, the 18-year-old moved to Spain and signed a five-year contract withCelta de Vigo, going on to remain several seasons registered forthe reserves.[3]
Madinda made his official debut with theGalicians' first team on 31 October 2012, playing the full 90 minutes in a 0–2 away loss againstAlmería forthe season'sCopa del Rey.[4] He first appeared inLa Liga on 30 March of the following year, coming on as a latesubstitute in a 2–2 home draw toBarcelona.[5]
On 19 January 2016, Madinda renewed his contract until 2018, being immediately loaned toGimnàstic de Tarragona until June.[6] On 12 July, his loan was extended for a further season, now with a buyout clause.[7]
In June 2017, Madinda leftBalaídos to join Greek sideAsteras Tripoli.[8]
In September 2020, after leavingKeçiörengücü, he signed forGiresunspor.[9]
In February 2021, he signed for Malaysian clubSabah.[10]In July 2022, he signed for Malaysian clubJohor Darul Ta'zim.[11]
On 16 February 2023, he signed a one-year loan deal with Malaysian clubNegeri Sembilan.[12][13]
On 21 July 2023, Madinda signed on loan with Indonesian clubPersib Bandung until December 2023.[14]
On 28 July 2024, Madinda signed a deal withBarito Putera.[15]
Madinda made his debut forGabon in 2011,[16] and was selected for the2012 Africa Cup of Nations squad.[17] On 14 November 2012 he scored his first goal as an international, netting the opener in a 2–2friendly draw withPortugal played in his hometown, through apenalty kick.[18]
In December 2014, Madinda was named as part of Gabon's provisional squad for the2015 African Cup of Nations.[19]
