L'As du Fallafel's dishes are based uponNorth African andMiddle Eastern cuisine.[1] Due to the restaurant's popularity and cramped seating, the lunchtime line often extends well into the street.[4]

The restaurant is closed onShabbat.[5]

Writing inThe New York Times travel section,Mark Bittman asserts that "this isthe falafel destination in Paris, indeed in Europe."[1] InPauline Frommer's Paris, Margie Rynn shares that L’As du Fallafel "has, without a doubt, the best falafel in Paris."[6]

The restaurant is said to be a favorite ofrock musicianLenny Kravitz.[7]
