Kworatem (also,Cor-a-tem andQuoratem) is a formerKarok settlement inHumboldt County,California.[1] It was located at the confluence of theKlamath andSalmon Rivers, at an elevation of 515 feet (157 m).[1][2]
The name Quoratem was erroneously used by Gibbs for theKarok Indians, and was adopted by Powell in the adjectival formQuoratean as the name of the linguistic family constituted by the Karok.
