Kugelis, also known asbulvių plokštainis ("potato pie"), is a potato dish fromLatvia andLithuania.Potatoes,bacon,milk,onions, andeggs are seasoned with salt and pepper and flavoured, for example withbay leaves and/ormarjoram, then oven-baked. It is usually eaten withsour cream orpork rind with diced onions.[1]

Similar dishes include the Jewishkugel and theBelarusian andPolishpotato babka.[1]
