TheKraul Mountains (German:Kraulberge) are a chain ofmountains andnunataks that trend northeastward fromVeststraumen Glacier for approximately 70 nautical miles (130 km) in westernQueen Maud Land, Antarctica. They were discovered by theThird German Antarctic Expedition (1938–1939), led by CaptainAlfred Ritscher, and named for CaptainOtto Kraul, ice pilot of the expedition.[1]
