Koreiz (Ukrainian:Кореїз;Russian:Кореиз;Crimean Tatar:Koreiz) is anurban-type settlement lying south-west ofYalta in theYalta Municipality of theAutonomous Republic of Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part ofUkraine and incorporated byRussia as theRepublic of Crimea. The name of the town means "villages" inGreek (χωρεία, chorèa). Koreiz absorbed the nearby spa ofMiskhor in 1958. Population:5,455 (2014 Census).[1]
