Bight in the Yellow Sea

Korea(n) Bay, sometimesWest Korea(n) Bay (Chinese:西朝鲜湾;pinyin:Xīcháoxiǎnwān;Korean: 서조선만 or 서한만;Hanja: 西朝鮮灣 or 西韓灣;Korean pronunciation:[sʰʌdʑosʰʌn.man] or[sʰʌhan.man]), is abight and the northern extension of theYellow Sea,[1] between the southeastern coastline ofChina'sLiaoning Province and the western coastline ofNorth Korea'sNorth Pyongan,South Pyongan andSouth Hwanghae provinces.[2] It is separated from theBohai Sea by theLiaodong Peninsula, withDalian'sLüshunkou District marking its western end, and westernmost tip of North Korea'sRyongyon County as its eastern end.[3][4]
TheYalu (Amnok) River, which marks the western two-thirds of theChina–North Korea border, empties into the Korea Bay betweenDandong (China) andSinŭiju (North Korea).[5][6] TheChongchon River andTaedong River also drains into the Korea Bay atSinanju andNampo, respectively.
