TheKookooligit Mountains are a volcanicmountain range on north-centralSt. Lawrence Island in theU.S. state ofAlaska. They consist of a 30 km (19 mi) long and 40 km (25 mi) wideshield volcano capped with over 100 smallervolcanic cones.[1][2] The volcanic cones are composed primarily ofalkali olivine basalts, olivinetholeiite, andbasanite.[2]
