Kol Ha'ir (Hebrew:כל העיר, litThe Whole City, also ahomophone forVoice of the City) is a localHebrew-language weekly published inJerusalem.[1]

History

Kol Ha'ir has been published by theSchocken Group since 1978,[2] setting the stage for the founding of local newspapers in other cities throughoutIsrael.[3] Since its inception, the paper has maintained an independent editorial board despite its association withHaaretz.[4] It was launched by Amos Schocken, whose father,Gershom Schocken, was then editor in chief of Haaretz.[5]
