Klaarstroom is a village inPrince Albert Local Municipality in theWestern Cape province ofSouth Africa.
It is situated at the northern end ofMeiringspoort, about 60 km east ofPrince Albert and 95 km north-west ofUniondale. Originally named Pietersburg, its present name, Afrikaans for 'clear stream', probably refers to waters flowing from theSwartberg into the lowlands.[2][3]
