Kiumars Pourahmad (Persian:کیومرث پوراحمد; 16 December 1949 – 5 April 2023) was an Iranianfilm director,screenwriter,film editor,film producer andnovelist. He is best known for his TV Series,The Tales of Majid.
He was born inNajafabad on 16 December 1949.[1][2] He later moved to Tehran where he worked as a writer and film critic in theFilm magazine.[2] On the morning of 5 April 2023, at the age of 73, Pourahmad was found dead under suspicious circumstances, in a rented villa inBandar-e Anzali. The police are still investigating his death.[3][4]
