Kitson Island Marine Provincial Park is aprovincial park protecting all 45 hectares (110 acres) ofKitson Island[2] andKitson Islet.[3][4] The park is located within the asserted traditional territory of theTsimshian andMetlakatla First Nation, at the mouth of theSkeena River inBritish Columbia,Canada.[5]
This park is one of a number of marine parks along theInside Passage, protecting significant wildlife species and their habitats and the portion ofFlora Bank within the park.[5] It also features one of only a few easily accessible sandy beaches in theNorth Coast area.
