Kion Smith (born October 7, 1998) is an American professionalfootballoffensive tackle for theMiami Dolphins of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football atFayetteville State.

Early life and education

Smith played high school football atLumberton High School. He was out for his entire senior season due to an injury.[1]

Smith was atFayetteville State University for his collegiate career. He played in 20 total games while he was there. His senior season was cancelled entirely due to theCOVID-19 pandemic.[2][3]

Atlanta Falcons

After going undrafted in the2021 NFL draft, Smith signed a contract with theAtlanta Falcons. However, he was not on the final 53-man roster.[5]

Miami Dolphins

On September 6, 2021, Smith joined theMiami Dolphins practice squad.[6] He signed a reserve/future contract with the Dolphins on January 11, 2022.[7] He was waived on August 30, 2022 and re-signed to the practice squad.[8] He signed a reserve/future contract on January 16, 2023.[9]

On August 10, 2024, Smith was placed on season-ending injured reserve after suffering a tornACL in the preseason.[10]
