Ratu Kinijoji R. Maivalili was aFijianChief and former political leader.[1] From 2001 to 2006, he represented theProvince ofCakaudrove in theSenate as one of fourteen nominees of theGreat Council of Chiefs. Previously, he sat in theHouse of Representatives representing theCakaudrove WestFijianCommunal Constituency, which he won in1999 but lost in2001.

Reappointed to the Senate in May 2006, he was subsequently electedPresident of the Senate at its first sitting on the 5th of June. Government-nominated SenatorHafiz Khan was elected ashis deputy.

Maivalili died on 27 June 2016.[2]
