Kila is acensus-designated place andunincorporated community inFlathead County,Montana, United States. Its population was 424 as of the2020 census.[3] Kila has apost office withZIP code 59920, which opened on May 27, 1901.[4][5] The community is located alongU.S. Route 2, 10 miles fromKalispell.
Originally called Sedan by theGreat Northern Railway when homesteaders settled the area in 1892, the name was changed after William Kiley when Kiley filed for a post office in 1901.[6] The town was platted in 1914.[6]
