Khosro Heydari (Persian:خسرو حیدری, born September 14, 1983) is a retiredIranianfootball player who mostly played as adefender forEsteghlal.
After his excellent performances forPas he finally accepted the offer fromEsteghlal F.C. and was one of the key players in 2008–09 forEsteghlal F.C. to win the league. He continued his excellent performances the season after and was the most influential player of the team. He leftEsteghlal F.C. in 2010, joiningSepahan with a 2-year contract.[1] He won the league with Sepahan and was transferred back toEsteghlal F.C.[2] on 23 July 2011 on a two-year deal and won theHazfi Cup in his first season andIran Pro League next season.[3] He extended his contract with Esteghlal on 13 July 2013, keeping him at the club until 2016. On 19 June 2016, he signed another three-year contract extension, keeping him at the club through 2019. He announced he will be retired from football at the end of the2018–19 season. He played his last game for Esteghlal in a 2–1 win againstSepidrood on 16 May 2019.

Khosro Heydari was a member ofIran national under-23 football team, participating in the2006 Asian Games. He was called up to the senior squad in June 2007 for theWest Asian Football Federation Championship 2007. He made his debut forIran in a match vsPalestine. He played in2010 FIFA World Cup qualification and2014 FIFA World Cup qualification forTeam Melli. He also featured in2011 AFC Asian Cup qualification and2015 AFC Asian Cup qualification. He performed forTeam Melli inWest Asian Football Federation Championship 2010,2011 Asian Cup,2014 World Cup and2015 Asian Cup.[4]
