Al-Zawiya (Arabic:الزاوية), was aPalestinianArab village in theDistrict of Baysan. It was depopulated by theIsrael Defense Forces during the1948 Arab-Israeli War on May 15–18, 1948 underOperation Gideon. It was located 11.5 km northeast ofBaysan. TheCrusader CastleBelvoir is located close to the village.
It was classified as ahamlet in the Palestine Index Gazetteer.[1]
