Keratin 13 (orcytokeratin 13) is aprotein that in humans is encoded by theKRT13gene.[5][6]

Keratin 13 is atype I cytokeratin, it is paired withkeratin 4 and found in the suprabasal layers of non-cornified stratified epithelia. Mutations in the gene encoding this protein and keratin 4 have been associated with the autosomal dominant disorderWhite Sponge Nevus.[7]
