Kentin Mahé (born 22 May 1991) is a Frenchhandball player forVfL Gummersbach.[1][2]
Kentin Mahé was born in Paris and started to play handball at age six in AS Monaco, before briefly representing ASPTT Nice. In 2000, he moved toGermany where he grew up, due to his fatherPascal Mahé, a former handball player, taking up several managerial positions in the country.[3]
His maternal grandmother is fromSweden and he lived inStockholm for four months in 2008, aged 18, playing youth handball with then reigning national championsHammarby IF.[3]
Mahé returned to Germany in 2009 and made his senior debut forDHC Rheinland, before enjoying stints inVfL Gummersbach andHSV Hamburg.[3]
In 2015, he signed with the German top clubSG Flensburg-Handewitt where he developed into a world class-player under the management ofLjubomir Vranjes. He joined theHungarian clubTelekom Veszprém on 1 July 2018.[3]
