Kenneth J. Lawrence (born 1964) is an Americanastronomer and adiscoverer of minor planets.[2]
Credited by theMinor Planet Center with the discovery of 32 numberedasteroids between 1989 and 1994, he has also co-discovered152P/Helin-Lawrence, aperiodic comet from theJupiter family.[3] He was also a participant in thePalomar Planet-Crossing Asteroid Survey.[2]
The main-belt asteroid4969 Lawrence, discovered byEleanor Helin in 1986, is named in his honor.[2] Naming citation was published on 14 July 1992 (M.P.C. 20522).[4]
