José Fernando Morales Rivera (born August 19, 1984), known professionally asKendo Kaponi, is a Puerto Rican rapper, songwriter and producer.
Kaponi was raised by his grandmother, as both of his parents were drug addicts who had died by the time he was seven years old. When he was nine, his grandmother also died and he lived in several foster homes.[1]
He has been to jail several times with cases ranging from drug possession to assault.[2]
He has two daughters and one son.
Kaponi began his career in the early 2000s writing songs for artists such asHéctor el Father,Cosculluela andWisin & Yandel. He eventually became a highly respected and sought-after songwriter catching the attention ofDon Omar who signed him to his label “El Orfanato” where he started releasing his own music as well as songwriting for other artists signed to the label, mainlyFarruko.
Kaponi has released one mixtape,El Alpha & El Omega in 2018. He is also known for participating in productions withDon Omar such asDon Omar Presents: Meet the Orphans, which includeEl Duro,Viviendo Con el Enemigo, andRX.[3] He was also involved in a diss battle againstBaby Rasta,Cosculluela[4] andArcángel.[5]
As of 2025 he is signed toRimas Entertainment where he works as a producer. He also writes songs forAnuel AA independently.
