Keith Robert Blackwell (born July 4, 1975) is a former Associate Justice of theSupreme Court of Georgia.
Blackwell received hisBachelor of Arts in political science from theUniversity of Georgia in 1996 and hisJuris Doctor from theUniversity of Georgia School of Law in 1999.
He was a judge of theGeorgia Court of Appeals, to which he was appointed by GovernorSonny Perdue on November 1, 2010.[1] He was later named to the Supreme Court of Georgia by GovernorNathan Deal on June 25, 2012.[2] On February 28, 2020, Blackwell announced his intention to resign, effective November 18, 2020.[3]
In September 2016, he was named as a possibleSupreme Court of the United States nominee byDonald Trump.[4]
