Keesara, also known by its ancient nameKesarigiri, is a major village and mandal headquarters in theMedchal-Malkajgiri district of theIndian state ofTelangana. It is the mandal and divisional headquarters of Keesara mandal inKeesara revenue division and also outer suburb ofHyderabad, also a part ofHyderabad Metropolitan Region. It is located nearOuter Ring Road, Hyderabad. It is in the center of Shamirpet - Keesara - Ghatkesar, ECIL - Keesara - Bommalaramaram - M.Turkapalli Routes .[1] It is also a part ofHyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority.[2]
