Kazuma Murata (村田 和麻,Murata Kazuma; born 28 November 1991)[1][2] is a Japanesefield hockey player, who plays as a forward.[3][4]

Career

Australian leagues

In 2018, Kazuma Murata was signed to theCanberra Lakers as an import player for the2018 edition of theAustralian Hockey League.[5][6]

Following his appearance for the Canberra Lakers, Murata was signed to theAustralian Capital Territory's new team, theCanberra Chill, for theinaugural tournament of theSultana Bran Hockey One League.[7]

National team

Murata made his debut for theJapan national team in 2014, during a test series againstNew Zealand inWellington.[8]

He won his first medal at a major tournament in 2018, at theAsian Games inJakarta. The team won gold, and also secured qualification to the2020 Summer Olympics inTokyo.[9]
