Kawaguchi Station (川口駅,Kawaguchi-eki) is a passengerrailway station located in the city ofKawaguchi, Saitama, Japan, operated byEast Japan Railway Company (JR East).
Kawaguchi Station is served by theKeihin-Tōhoku Line, fromŌmiya inSaitama Prefecture toIsogo inKanagawa Prefecture. It is located 14.5 kilometers from Ōmiya and 15.8 kilometers fromTokyo.

The station opened on 10 September 1910.[1]
In the 2015 data available from Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Kawaguchi → Akabane was one of the train segments among Tokyo's most crowded train lines during rush hour.[2]
